I Chronicles 29 teaches us that God is our provider and works through our gifts and obedience to accomplish His preferred future.  David exemplifies the spirit of harvest, by giving all of his own private treasures of gold and silver (I Chronicles 29:3). He then invites everyone to do likewise by saying, Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today? (I Chronicles 29:5).
